Jeanne Bonnet is PhD candidate at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and associated to Centre d’Études Sud-Asiatiques et Himalayennes (CESAH) since October 2025. Her research examines the religious, social, and economic significance of cattle in North India. It focuses on cattle management practices, particularly the protection and improvment of indigenous cattle breeds. The study also investigates dairy production, including milk valorization and ayurvedic production, with attention to how these activities evolve in response to changing technological and developmental contexts.
