in data engineering & bio-economic modelling

Responsibilities
- Searching, compiling, documenting and checking data from various fields and sources in order to build or consolidate databases and time-series on the Indian agricultural economy, with a special focus on livestock (feeding practices, dairy economy, etc.)
- Bio-economic accounting and modelling, based on statistical, geomatic and/or econometric analyses
- Oral presentation and report writing

Expected qualifications & requirements
- Knowledge and experience in data harvesting and database management
- Knowledge and experience in data processing and code writing in various software environments (Excel, Access, ArcGis, SAS, R, Stata…)
- Interest in agriculture, livestock, poverty and environmental issues
- Knowledge and experience in agriculture economics and econometrics will be a plus
- Discipline, curiosity, senses of initiative and teamwork
- Might have to travel in India for data harvesting
Duration of contract
Renewable contract with a minimum duration of 6 months, from August or September 2017

Monthly salary
Between 30,000 and 45,000 Rupees (full-time job) according to professional experience
