I am a geographer-planner having completed my masters in Town Planning with specialization in Regional Planning from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. I also have a post-graduate degree in Geography alongside.
My area of interest lies in urban and regional aspects of town planning, participatory planning and spatial planning using GIS techniques along with statistical analysis.
I am working for the NOPOOR project and am responsible for analyzing poverty employing Multidimensional Poverty Index. My work involves analysis of different data sets like NFHS, NSS and Census data using statistical software such as SPSS, STATA and Excel.
The project also requires me to do spatial analyses such as mapping the changes in multidimensional poverty scenario in India over the years using Arc GIS software, formulating questionnaires for household interviews, conducting surveys in rural and urban areas of Mumbai and report writing.
